Solen

The project

A single working line, light beige handleless fronts, with a wood niche and a wood backdrop that warm the wall.

Solen is a kitchen set along one wall, from the oven column to the end of the worktop, with no return and no island. The hob and the sink sit side by side on the same line, and the tall column with the built-in oven closes the composition at one end. In a room where the table takes the middle, a kitchen on a single side leaves the rest of the space free.

The fronts are light beige, matt and handleless, below and above alike. The wall units come down close to the worktop and are interrupted in the middle by an open niche in a wood decor, and the same wood continues along the backdrop between the worktop and the upper units. It is the composition's one warm zone — which is exactly why it is what you see first.

Everything else stays quiet: a light worktop, a black tap, a black oven built into the column, a line of spotlights in the coffered ceiling. Above the table, amber glass pendants bring the wood tone up to eye level.

The dark round table and the grey chairs stand in front of the kitchen, not beside it. Kitchen and dining are one room, read from the door towards the window.
