The project

Liva is an L-shaped kitchen set into the corner of the room, with the dining area continuing from it. The two sides do different work: the long side holds the hob and the preparation space, the short one the sink and the column with the oven and microwave. Nothing is pushed into a dead corner — the angle is exactly where the worktop changes direction and carries on.

The palette is split horizontally. The base units and the tall column are matt sage green, a muted tone that asks for no attention; the wall units are cream, lighter than the wall itself. That split carries the visual weight down towards the floor and leaves the upper half of the room free, which makes the space read taller than it is.

The wooden worktop crosses both sides without a break and returns, as a vertical accent, in a narrow open niche between the wall units. It is the only place where wood rises to eye level, and that is exactly why it registers. Everything else stays quiet: no visible handles above, discreet ones below, black appliances built into the column.

The table continues the same wood tone as the worktop, under a light fitting of glass globes. The kitchen and the dining area are not two adjoining rooms but one space read from end to end.
